Nothin' But Socks

Wow, it's been forever since I last posted. I'm just not full of inspirational thoughts or profound words lately. I am obsessed with knitting socks though! As we are currently buried under 10+ inches of snow and more is expected this weekend, I am churning out the socks with amazing speed. Since I am not full of wordiness today I will wait for another post to describe the exact yarns used for each.
Carmella is the only cat who really enjoys all this snow. Makes for tough bird hunting when you can't see over the snow mound to the bird feeder. My feathered friends have been devouring seed and suet in record amounts these days, but I love to watch the huge variety of birds that come to the feeders.
The poor old cross-stitch pile sits there, waiting for me to get past this "sock thing" I'm going through. I have seen the newest designs from Prairie Schooler and I know they will be all the inspiration I need to pick up the single, short, blunt needle again.

  1. Your socks are beautiful.
Glad you have the snow and not me.
Although here in SC we did have 5" last Friday but it was gone Saturday afternoon.
    Stitching will come back!
    Happy Feet!

  5. Your socks rock MY socks off! I am so impressed with your talent, and can totally understand your obsession - I'm the same with crochet these days. If only we could magically transport one to the other's home, and knit/crochet while chatting away - now THAT would be nice :)

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your world. That picture with the birds - wow!

Keep warm, friend. I'm sending you some sunshine and mildness from the Mediterranean.

Thanks for your wonderful comments on my blog. They're always much treasured, and warm my heart.

  6. I think you can safely say there will be gymnastics questions appearing at some point in the quiz and not the usual Nadia one.
